Star Wars Stormtrooper Replacement Hand Armour

Stormtrooper Hand Armour Plates

This auction is for one pair of screen accurate stormtrooper hand armour plates. 

These are much more accurate to the film than the plates found on most other kits (particularly FX armour) and are manufactured from virgin white, high gloss 2mm ABS to ensure that they last the test of time, whether for wearing or display. The ABS is also UV treated to prevent yellowing with prolongued exposure to sunlight.

These shoulders will match any armor that is made from "Grade A", or "Grade 1" ABS or HIPS. They may not match Grade 2 or reconsititued ABS or HIPS plastic (Grade 2 tends to be a 'milky' white rather than brilliant white)

Be wary of other auctions that describe their parts as "white plastic" or just "plastic". These parts will often be manufactured from cheap styrene or HIPS. This is a much cheaper material and it will not last long before splitting, loosing its shine or turning yellow with exposure to the sun.

We use professional machines and only use virgin, gloss, UV treated ABS to prevent yellowing or splitting. ABS is much stronger than other plastics and will survive the test of time.

If you're going to pay out for your hobby, spend it on quality parts.

Is this armour 501st/Garrison Approved?

That's simply a meaningless sales pitch used to sell armour. NO armour is guaranteed to be approved by the 501st Garrison. Even if you purchased a previously 501st approved costume it does not mean it will automatically be cleared with you wearing it. The procedure does not rest entirely on the armour it also depends on how it fits you. Nonetheless, this is accurate armour and provided it is built correctly to fit you properly, it will most certainly sail through the strictest of approvals.

What's this cast from?

We are well aware of the Macarthyistic approach of the prop community and the self-appointed narcissistic 'prop police'. It took a lot of research and a considerable outlay to obtain permission to cast these parts. It is cast from an original source, owned by a professional collector so don't waste our time - and yours - with loaded questions.

Can I buy a full kit a piece at a time?

Yes, you can purchase parts at a time to slowly build your costume up.
