Popular Classics magazine.
Issue: August 1992.
Popular Classics magazine is a United Kingdom publication that concerns running an older car; either as a daily driver or weekend toy. Very similar to Classic & Sportscar [Check out my other items!], it is concerned with stories of the cars, the personalities or events. It isn't really one of those that goes into detail about which screwdriver to buy, or widget replacement in damp lock-ups, or 27 year restorations. Instead you get reasonably detailed [i.e. not so detailed they're boring!] stories about people and their cars, buying guides, or model histories. In other words, an accessible and interesting magazine for the average classic motorist.
These magazines are part of my own collection that I'm thinning down - have you any idea of the sheer volume of space that almost 25 years worth of magazines occupies? I've run "classic" cars on and off for the past 26 years, along with the odd motorcycle, so my collection of magazines ranges back to the 1970's really.
This particular issue has features on:
- Standard 8 / 10 / Pennant.
- Jaguar Mk 1 v. Citroen DS.
- Morris Minor - Fosse Way.
- Mini 1275GT v. MG Midget Mk III.
- Lotus Cortina restoration.
- Morgan - the enigma.
- Wolseley 6/80.
- Classifieds.
- Trade Ads.
I only sell magazines that are in good, as read condition. No missing articles or ripped pages. If you're not happy, then return it for a refund.

I will always combine postage for multiple purchases. Most of my stuff goes out in double envelopes for protection - I try and avoid those crappy plastic bags that most people seem to use these days.... you know the ones; they cost 2p, take an age to open, yet miraculously the contents still get torn! I use old fashioned envelopes. |
