About this charity:
We rescue, rehabilitate and re release sick and injured British wildlife and many domestic pet species. We rely upon donations and treat around 2000 casualties a year (30-40 per week!) We treat almost every species from deer to barn owls and red squirrels, so every penny raised here goes to help save our ever decreasing British wildlife.

This is a charity item for Knoxwood Wildlife Rescue Trust. Knoxwood is a registered charity; we rescue wild animals and birds, get them better and re release them back to the wild. We have a purpose built wildlife hospital in Wigton, Cumbria and we also rescue exotic pet species. We currently have around 250 different animals and birds at our sanctuary – to find out more please see www.wildliferescue.org.uk.

Our volunteers have funded the cards and pictures, so there is no outlay to the sanctuary.

This is Magpie, short haired collie, 5 years old.
Magpie was brought in at 10 days old, eyes not even open yet, frozen cold and starving, the last surviving pup of a litter.
We brought her round and raised her by hand, but even so she was never 100% and sadly developed epilepsy. Magpie needs 2 different types of medication each day to control her seizures. She is a permanent resident at Knoxwood, and lives in the sanctuary house (along with a small menagerie) with her two Lurcher companions, Meg & Baldric (see my other items)
