  Wonderful Hand Carved Opal Fish.

      21 x 11 x 3 mm     4.7 Carats

This is an excellent carving that skillfully mixes an Ironstone backing with a well carved and polished front of Precious Opal. Technically that makes it a doublet but of a highly original kind !  As you can see there are good colours of green and blue. The crystal opal used in this piece comes from the famous Coober Pedy fields.
It is supplied loose and could be used in jewellery if you are the creative sort ! Or just display it as a specimen that combines both the art of nature and the art of man.
