South Africa Medal 1853, named in correct impressed style to: (STEPHEN HAYFORD. 6TH REGT.). A scarce medal.
Private (2510) Stephen Hayford was present in the operations in South Africa with his regiment, the 6th (Royal Warwickshire) Regiment of Foot during the operations of 1846-47 and 1850-53, the Second & Third Kaffir Wars. With confirmation from the medal roll.
