The Sony WRT-805 is a radio transmitter operating on a

Ultra High Frquency (UHF) band used in conjunction with the Sony ECM-77B lapel microphobe.

This compact and lightweight transmitter has a number

of advanced features including a Phase Locked Loop (PLL) synthesized system and pre-programmed wireless

channel plans for simultaneous multichannel operation.

The WRT-805 has a high efficiency DC-DC converter

enabling long battery life (6 hours with a single AA battery).

Its LCD display shows the current channel number,

residual battery power, input attenuation setting,

AF input level and RF output.

The electronic input attenuator has a 0 to 21 dB range in 3 dB

steps and can be saved with the channel information even

when the battery has been removed.

The compander (compressor/expander) system enables

transmission over a wide dynamic range with minimum noise.
