Sony VP-7020 U-Matic Player

Up for auction now is a Sony model VP-7020 3/4" U-Matic Video Cassette Player.  This piece of equipment is used, but is still in decent physical condition.  The word "Library" is stenciled on the top of the unit, and there are a few minor scuffs on the surface, but aside from this, there is no damage.

In testing, we got this unit to power on without incident, but we did have a problem once we loaded a tape.  The unit accepted the tape properly and began playing it, but this only lasted about two seconds, then it stopped.  At this point, the player went into 'stand-by' mode, and became unresponsive to button presses.  We turned the unit off, and back on, but it immediately went into stand-by mode again, and once again became unresponsive.  We ended up having to take the top off the player, and fish the tape out from around the tracks by hand. 

We don't know what caused this problem, but because of this, we are selling this U-Matic Player as-is.  We guarantee the item to be as described and pictured.
