this is a valuable, traiing aid written from a black professional perspective.  It challenges controlling and disempowring aspects of social work and explore practical and achievable alternatives.  It provides a check list of assessessemetn of needs of Black clietns adn explores empowerment.  It also looks at the Black communty as a resouce for change including black voluntary organisations and black workers as well as anti-racist white workers.
Useful book for social work students exploring anti racist and anti-discriminatory practice

This book is in good condition and comes from a smoke free home.
