Amazing Smart TRE for Suzuki SV1000, SV650, TL1000 & possibly GSXR

Found this modification on a Suzuki SV forum [whilst i was considering spending £30 on one] and it works! And saves money too!

Standard bikes have the ignition timing reduced on 1st to 4th gears in order to reduce emissions for testing.

This simple conversion overcomes this issue resulting in a smoother engine with improved low to mid range performance, also reduces the 'chuntering' below 4000 rpm.

Simply connect the supplied 6.8k ohm 1/4w resistor in series on the pink wire from the ECU as shown in diagrams, shrink the shrink-wrap tubing and job done.....Simples!!

Some TRE's give an altered Neutral green light, this mod keeps it as standard, also does not affect the cold starting issues which apparently some expensive TRE's suffer from.

I fitted this to mine and now have surplus resistors as i had to buy a minimum of 50, that is why i am offering this performance modification to you.

Kit contains -

1 x 6.8k ohm 1/4w resistor + a length of black electrical shrink-wrap tubing [simply warm with heat from a lighter]

Can be fitted without soldering by use of quick fit electrical connector clips available at Halfords etc
