Tip 1: How to Apply Your Makeup for a Natural Finish
Smart Cover makeup is very opaque and long lasting. It should be applied gradually until complete coverage is achieved. Less is often better than more. Allow time for makeup to dry completely, for a soft, natural finish.
Tip 2: How to Choose the Perfect Shade
For best results, choose a Smart Cover Concealing Creme shade that closely matches the skin tone to be covered. For example, the skin on your hand may be a different shade than on your face.
You may need to blend 2 shades in the palm of your hand to get a perfect match.
Tip 3: How to Apply Smart Cover Makeup for a Flawless Finish
Blending is the KEY to successful camouflaging for a smooth, even finish. For targeted areas such as scars and blemishes, use the tips of your fingers to blend edges. And for large areas on the face and neck, use a wedge-shaped sponge to evenly blend make-up.
Tip 4: Achieve An All-Over Even Coverage
When applying Smart Cover concealers to large areas on the body such as legs, chest, arms, etc., use a sweeping motion to achieve an all-over even coverage.
After drying, spray a mist of water on the covered area for a perfect finish. Smart Cover is water-proof and smudge-resistant!
Tip 5: How to Use Smart Cover Products Daily
Camouflage products are much more than ordinary makeup. Smart Cover can be used daily as a foundation for uneven skin tones, and to soften the redness of Rosacea. It also minimizes the fine lines associated with aging. Smart Cover products can be worn under makeup, over makeup or alone.
Tip 6: How to Use Smart Cover for Contouring
Use a slightly darker shade than your natural skin tone to minimize imperfections. Contouring and highlighting can also help minimize the look of swelling and bruising, e.g. for a bruised or surgically swollen nose use a darker shade down the sides of the nose and a lighter shade down the bridge of your nose, and blend edges as needed.
Tip 7: Use Smart Cover to Hide Pouches, Wrinkles and Furrows
Camouflage makeup cannot take away the pouches from under the eyes, but Smart Cover can improve their appearance.
Use the Concealing Creme or the Cover Stick and apply to the dark shadows underneath the pouches to minimize the look. Then, blend edges with fingertips.
You can also minimize deep furrows and wrinkles around the eyes and mouth with the new Perfect Touch Camouflage Creme.
Tip 8: Covering Birthmarks and Pigmentation Blotches
When covering a defined area such as a large birthmark or blotches remember to apply the concealing crème to the center of the discoloration and work outward covering all of the pigmented area. Then blend out the edges into the surrounding skin.
First test the shade on clean skin near your jaw line. The correct color will disappear with no demarcation between your face and your neck.
To hide smaller imperfections, use smooth, light strokes and blend quickly, since the concealing crème will dry to a lasting matte finish in minutes.
You can wear Smart Cover alone or along with your own makeup. Many of our customers with large marks prefer to use Smart Cover as an all-over waterproof foundation for the smoothest, most natural coverage. Often your mirror will tell you when it’s enough.

Tip 9: Cover Stick Secrets
NEUTRAL BEIGE STICK
The Cover Stick can be your best “Hide-It” friend! Use it for dark circles around your eyes, and use the tip of the stick is perfect to get into the shadow corners near the bridge of your nose.
Start at the inner corner of your eye and blend outward with your third finger or pinky, whichever feels best to you. Use it as a base for eyelids before applying shadow, and a lip base coat for lips that change color.
To reduce the deep furrows from your nose to your lips, just draw little whiskers across the furrows and blend with your fingertips or sponges. The yellow-based neutral color will leave no marks. I am very allergic, are Smart Cover products right for me? Are they hypo-allergenic? Researchers at Smart Cover have had all the products Allergy and Dermatologist-tested and they have proven to be non-irritating. However, each skin varies and if you are concerned, we can send you literature with all the ingredients to review with your physician. All products are fragrance-free and Smart Cover uses no animal testing.
Is the product non-comedogenic? Smart Cover Concealing Creme has been laboratory tested and is considered non-comedogenic.
How do I remove the concealers? Since Smart Cover is waterproof, it is easier to remove with our Papaya-Enzyme Cleanser. However, you can always use soap and water; but if you are using Smart Cover on your hands, just wash with water and pat dry.
I have vitiligo/eczema/rosacea/psoriasis/lupus disease. Can I use Smart Cover? People with more serious skin conditions such as Vitiligo, Eczema, Rosacea, Psoriasis or Lupus have benefited from Smart Cover and many Dermatologists recommend it in their offices to their patients. Does the Smart Cover Stick come in different shades? No, it s in one universal shade of Neutral Beige that works on most skin tones. You can apply it under your make-up, over your make-up or alone.

A. hi!! they are both great products... however, smart cover does provide greater coverage... the vita-k is a lighter coverage and has the consistency of a med-thick liquid foundation whereas the smart cover is a thick cream... for people with extremely dry skin, the vita-k might bet better for them, due to the higher liquid content... although with the smart cover, the vitamin e stick will prime dry skin for smoother coverage... as far as coloring goes... the light-med vita k is in between light and medium smart cover... but very, very close... i don't match my concealers to my skin as perfectly as i do my powders, because my tone changes throughout the year... so i have various tones of powders that i switch between... honestly... trial and error is the best way to find out what works and what doesn't... especially when it comes to color... OH... an added benefit of the vita-k is the vitamin k which helps diminish spider veins... hope that helps you a bit!! let me know if you have any other questions... THANKS! :-).

the smart cover is a higher quality product (thicker, more color)and holds up better than the vita-k... there's no way i can tell if it will match without you being here so i can see... but all you have to do is pat a little face powder that you currently use on top of the concealer so that it will be a perfect match... first class is about 3-5 biz days depending on wear you live... priority is usually 2 biz days... express is overnight... you can choose any of the above upon checkout... when is your affair? what state do you live in? i can get this out in the mail today if you purchase it within the next couple of hours

the creator of original smart cover created concealers which required setting powder... she came up with a better product, smart cover, which does not require setting powder... it is more user friendly as a one-step application... as far as color goes... anyone who tells you what color you should use online (sight unseen) is just trying to make a buck.. there is no way to tell... you're on the right track, though! trial and error with all the colors... mixing and matching until you find the right shade... then if you have powder that you usually use, you can use it on top to match the rest of your skin seamlessly... you can buy all the items mentioned (minus the powder) in my ebay store... and the shipping calculator upon checkout will combine your shipping (it will be less than $3)... if it's more, let me know... it's been acting up since usps changed their rates/regulations... let me know if you have any other questions!! thanks!

i have had great feedback on this product and i know it works well for normal bruising (non cosmetic bruising)... but i haven't had any feedback on using this product after lip filling... i don't want to give you the wrong information and make your condition worse... what i would do if i were you is to call your doctor's office and give him (or his assistant) the ingredients to this product (it's in the listing)... and ask if it'll be okay to use or not... i'm sure it's fine, but better safe than sorry!! if you do call, please let me know what they say!! they might try to push you into buying something of theirs' that's more expensive, but if you tell them you "already have it"... they will more likely be honest about their opinion... :-)

i have not personally tried it in the pool, but from the feedback, it seems to work for people with every single type of skin problem shown in the pictures... it is smudge/water proof under normal conditions... if swimming for some time, you may just need to reapply... just be sure to follow directions (apply to clean, dry skin)... and don't put tanning oil on top of it... let me know if you have any other questions!! thanks! :-)

the light and neutral are very similar... it's a matter of shade... i would try the light, then if it doesn't work, then get the neutral.. you might even need to mix the two to get a perfect shade, or apply powder on top to match perfectly! :-)

hi! Thanks for your interest... you wouldn't really need to use both unless you are mixing the two together to make a better match, or if you wanted to use one as a concealer and one as a makeup. The tube style and the stick style work the same (both can be used as makeup or concealer). The neutral beige is lighter than the medium. See the listing for tips on making the perfect shade by mixing and using your own powder. :-) You can't go wrong buying two colors, but if funds are limited, you might want to buy one, try it... then buy the other later if the one color isn't working for you! :-) Hope that helps!
