This is a flat backed 8 metal stringed  tear drop shaped instrument which we think is a small Bouzouki.

One of the strings is broken,  actually it is one of the teeth that holds the string at the base that needs repair.

Regrettably I am not a musician so I cannot tell you a lot about it except that it has a good sound when  played.

Measures approx 24" from base to top. The body is about 12" and the handle is 12".

The body is about 2" thick.
