You are bidding a a Thomson Sky+ HD box with UPGRADED SATCURE PSU!!!!! New Sky operating system and New EPG installed. ITV HD added and also COMPONENT OUT!!!

 This unit has been fitted with a BRAND NEW WD 5000AVVS 500GB hard drive(supplied by EDRIVES LTD,they are an official Select WD partner and only supply quality stock) This will give you OVER DOUBLE the recording space of the standard sky HD box!!* (*note,HD films take ALOT of hard drive space)

The Standard Sky+HD boxes come with a 300gb hard drive. Sky force you to "reserve"(give up) 140gb of this space for their "anytime" service. Switching the anytime service off does NOT increase the capacity of the Hard drive as others sellers suggest. So, standard SKY+HD boxes will have 160GB of "personel"(usable) storage space. What I have done is replace the hard drive with a BRAND NEW WD500GBAV drive! This drive is designed for AV aplications and PVR HD use so not just some old 500GB pc drive shoved in.!! This will leave you with a very attractive 360GB of storage personel storage space ,over DOUBLE THE DRIVE SPACE OF A STANDARD HD BOX!!! You will see others sellers with 1TB drives on here. What they fail to mention is that,if and WHEN you need to do a "system reset" (HARD DRIVE RESET).the Sky+HD box will only format (use )500gb of the 1TB after the reset! The sky Hd box will only format drives upto 500gb,so any 1TB drive will need to be COMPLETELY REMOVED from the Sky HD box and connected to a pc via other equipment to get it going upto 1TB again!!!!!!!. That is exactly why I have chosen to limit my drives to 500GBb.

 If you do a google search for "Thomson Sky HD psu problems" you will see that the original caps in the Thomson PSU(power supply unit) are very prone to failiure.(and even more so when increasing drive capacity!!) What you will get is a Thomson Sky+ HD box that has been FULLY upgraded with the SATCURE KIT AND 500GB HARD DRIVE . You will be getting a box that will LAST FOR MANY YEARS AND WILL RECORD OVER DOUBLE THAT OF A STANDARD SKY+HD BOX,unlike some of the "Thomson timebombs" sold here on ebay. I have added ITV HD via other channels and you also get BBC HD and Luxe HD all availiable to watch with no viewing card.If you are using this as a "bedroom hd box" then you can get a "Freesat from sky" card for £20 and then you will be able to watch Channel 4 HD which I highly recommend,they have been showing some really fantastic HD films of late.*(as have ITV HD)

 Another point to note is that this model has COMPONENT OUT.This means you can connect this box to a Tv with no spare HDMI input(or in some cases,an old HD ready tv that only has component In and no HDMI) You can outputt to 2 HDTvs at the same time without the need for a HDMI splitter.So if you had this box via HDMI in the lounge you could also output in HD to say the kitchen or bedroom with a long component cable.Also possible to record in Hd from Sky(you cant do this via HDMI) ,

I am very honest and open about what I have done in terms of upgrading this box and I have not tried to trick anyone with the desciption ,unlike other sellers.
