This book tells the story of the freighter Flying Enterprise, her damage and part-abandonment in a gale in December 1951, and how her captain, Kurt Carlsen, safely evacuated his crew and passengers then single handedly fought the weather for 2 weeks to try to bring his listing ship safely into harbour.

 

Read once but in good condition, almost as new.
