Silver plated B flat bugle with mouthpiece and chain. Tiny dent just below the lead pipe, some plating worn off inside the bell flare (see photos, both defects visible). Otherwise in very good condition. This is not just a decorative item, but is in good working order, with no leaks. It has been known to play the Last Post, so I know all the notes are in there - getting them out in the right order is the problem!! I can’t find who the maker was, but, as it is stamped ‘Ashton’, I guess it was made in the Manchester area. On 05-Nov-09 at 21:02:36 GMT, seller added the following information: Update 5.11.09: I have just noticed two more tiny dents; one underneath the bell flare, where it would be held by a player, and one in the protective cap around the main bow. Neither is larger than the dent in the photo, they are not noticeable. |
