Silver Spear is a hardy, clump-forming perennial with elegant, silvery spear-shaped leaves. In very cold winters, in exposed areas, plants may suffer frost damage and will benefit from protection. During mid to late spring, long stalks of yellowish-green flowers emerge from female plants, which produce orange berries in summer.

Purple fountain grass 2 litre

A spectacular deep purple ornamental grass which originates from Asia. The fascinating dark foliage is complemented by giant feathery pink plumes up to 1.5m tall from mid summer to autumn.

The giant plumes can be cut to achieve a sensational autumn/winter vase display. A deciduous plant that requires some protection from harsh frosts. Prefers a sheltered sunny location.

1 x Ophiopogon  'nigrescens'

Black Mondo Grass

Ophiopogon planiscapus 'nigrescens', or Black Mondo Grass, is an evergreen perennial that makes a great groundcover or edge plant for the border of a garden.

Its strap-like leaves will reach 15 inches (37.5 cm) tall and leaves will be up to ¼ inch (6 mm) wide. The foliage starts out green and then quickly turns dark black. Plants spread by underground stolons with thick fleshy roots.

Planted with or against bright coloured plants enhances the colour even more. Also ideal for front border plants.

Blooming Time: In late summer to early fall, the plants bloom, forming white flowers with a pink flush ¼ inch (0.6 cm) flowers. Shiny black fruits follow flowers.

Well suited as a rockery plant in dry / coastal conditions or as a container plant.
These Plants will tolerate Drought, so are also ideal for Rockery, and Coastal areas.
Excellent Plant for that Meditteranean look to your garden. Looks great against dark foliage plants like Ophiopogon Nigrescens.
