Silver Teaset 3 Piece Boat Shaped Heavy 1916

This is a lovely Solid Silver 3 Piece Teaset.  It is of a boat shape and has reeded girdles and handles.  The two handled sugar bowl and the milk jug have gilt interiors and the lip of the milk jug has an Art Deco shape to it.  The teapot has a dark simulated wooden handle and finial and it also has a built in strainer mesh which covers the whole part of the inside of the spout

Dimensions:     The Teapot 11 inches long from handle to spout, 5.25 inches wide and 5.25 inches tall.  The Sugar Bowl is just under 7 inches wide from handle to handle. 3.75 inches wide and 3 inches tall.  The Milk Jug is just under 6 inches long from handle to lip, 3.25 inches wide and 3 inches tall.  The total weight is 1055g    

Condition:     Overall it is in very good condition with just a little scratched area but this is very small and hardly noticeable and so too has the sugar bowl a little scratch but again this is minor.  The milk jug does have a couple of very very minor shallow dings and a few little discolouration spots inside the base but again all this is very minor            

Remarks:     This really is a very good heavy and impressive solid silver 3 piece teaset and when not in use makes a lovely display item on a sideboard or table and would look even more impressive if displayed on a solid silver salver or tray   

Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used.  Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark.  I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in "as new condition".
