The seven-pointed star is a continuously drawn figure having seven points, and is far less common than the pentagram. Also know as the septagram, septangle, Elven star or fairy/faerie star, it is important in the Western Kabbalistic tradtion, where it symbolizes the sphere of Netzach. It is particularly used by those Witches and Wiccans who practise Magick in this tradtion.
The number seven has many magickal and metaphysical correspendences - seven days of the week, the seven alchemical metals, the seven planets in traditional astrology. It corresponds to the spirit realm, which is why this symbol is associated with elves or fairies, and is sacred to those who follow the 'Faerie' tradtion, where it is known as the Elven or Faerie Star. There are no set representations for each of the points, but they are sometimes labelled: earth, air, fire, water, above, below and within. The seven pointed star is also an important part of the seal of the A.A., the inner order of Aleister Crowley's OTO.
Silver is sacred to the Moon and to all Moon Goddesses, such as Diana, Isis, Luna and Selena. It is believed to carry the qualities of Invocation, Love, Psychism, Peace, Protection & Dreams. It is also used for charms to attract money.
Because Silver is found in its pure form, it was one of the first metals to be used by humans. Its beauty and scarcity have caused it to be fashioned into divine images and offering pieces for many centuries.
Moonstone is sacred to the Moon and to all Lunar Goddesses, and is the perfect complement for silver in jewellery, talismans and other good luck pieces. It has similar powers to Silver, and is receptive and love-drawing, so is worn or carried to bring love into your life. It can also be used to work out problems between lovers. Hold a Moonstone, imbue it with loving energy, and give it to your troubled lover. Better still, share this ritual with your lover by exchanging stones.
Moonstone can be worn in bed or placed beneath your pillow to ensure restful sleep. It can be charged as a protective charm, particularly for protection while travelling and while swimming or crossing water.
