TERMS & CONDITIONS: • All bids are a legally binding contract. This is for charity, please do not bid if you are not 100% certain you can follow through with payment at the winning bid price. All bids and sales are final.
• Some auctions are of high profile or value and need to have bidders prequalified in order to place a bid. If the bidding appears blocked, please check the terms for that auction for instructions on how to become qualified. This process ensures all bids are sincere and makes it fair for those who do bid to have legitimate competition.
• Please note that for bidders who pay with Paypal, we will only ship to addresses that are confirmed by Paypal for your safety and ours.
• We will offer official eBay second chance offers only through the official eBay system. Be wary of second chance offers that do not include your first and last name in the eBay header. To be certain it is legitimate, please go to the "My Messages" section of "My eBay" on the site. If it is a real second chance offer, it will be posted there as well. • We reserve the right to reject any bids, especially from users with a history of negative bids or bid retractions. We also reserve the right to screen and reject bidders and auction item winners at our reasonable discretion.
• The auction items may not be used for advertising, promotional (including contests, other auctions and/or sweepstakes), reauctioning under the auspices of the NSPCC endorsing, or other commercial purposes. Such use will void the auction and no refunds will be given.
• All auction items offered on eBay (Items) have been donated to and will be sold by the NSPCC Trading Company Ltd (company number 890446) a wholly owned subsidiary company of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) a charitable organisation registered with the Charity Commissioners under number 216401. NSPCC Trading Company Ltd Gift Aids all its taxable profits to the NSPCC.
All Items are described on the basis of information provided to the NSPCC Trading Company by the relevant donor(s) and their descriptions are accurate so far as the NSPCC is aware. The NSPCC may not have had actual sight of tangible Items. Consequently these articles are offered for sale on an “as is” basis as described, and to the extent legally permitted, the NSPCC and its agents exclude all warranties in respect of the Items whether implied by legislation or otherwise. To the extent permitted by law the NSPCC and its agents shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect loss, including without limitation loss of profit, goodwill, reputation, or any special, indirect or consequential damages arising out of the purchase and or use of an Item. If this limitation of liability is deemed void or otherwise unenforceable, the liability of the NSPCC and or its agents shall be limited to the amount of the winning bid for the Item.
Purchasers should note that they will be bound by any third party terms and conditions which may prohibit the resale of the Item or restrict its use in some way.
PAYMENT: • Acceptable payment options include PayPal, bank cheques, wire transfers (winning bidder pays associated wire transfer fees) or postal money orders. We do not accept Western Union. Cheques will not be accepted from bidders outside of the UK.
• No VAT will be charged on any auction item, unless specified in the auction description.
SHIPPING: • Most physical items will be shipped within 3 business days after payment has been received and confirmed. For non-physical items, a representative will contact you after payment has been received to go over fulfillment.
• Certificates shipped within the UK will go Recorded (Signed for) Post at a rate of £2 per certificate. When shipped internationally, Airsure (International signed for) will be used at a cost of £5.
• Please read each auction item description carefully, as many will have different shipping costs and specifications. Some larger items do not have the shipping cost quoted, so please inquire as to your specific location. Shipping is being provided by Cadogan Tate.
• Shipping outside of the United Kingdom for physical items will be via either via Parcelforce or via an insured express courier, with tracking. Free local pickup is available in London area either in South Kensington or from Cadogan Tate offices.
• The NSPCC will put the closing auction price as the value on the custom's form for physical items. We will not be able to place a lower value to aid a winning bidder in paying less in duty from their home country.
