You are looking at a Sierra / Escort Cosworth Tarmac Compression Strut Kit.

Specially designed for the Escort and Sierra cosworths. This new design is a one piece machined, profiled rod, offering strength and lightness. Aimed to give and maintain precision handling for tarmac use. When fitted to the bolt on brackets (Cosworth) or weld on brackets (Escort 1 & 2). Caster angles can easily be achieved with the fully in situ adjuster which is built in, then locked so there are no camber angle changes in hard cornering. Special grade bolts are provided for chassis protection.

This is a precision machined, bolt on kit, that dramatically improves the handling in high speed corners giving the feeling of balanced grip. Supplied with new comfort, one piece 18,000 pound loading spherical golden racing rod ends and protective dust seals, machined rods are black phosfated for protection.

Tests using finite element analysis, determined the weakness of a tubular compression rods. Our in house design team designed and precision CNC machined one piece rod made from billet steel that allows caster adjustment without the rod arm removal and is more robust. These adjustable Control Arms are stiffer than their compeittor couterparts, and greatly reduces deflection for crisper handling and better response for ultimate grip and handling, fitted with 1800 lb high angular race quality rod ends for long and trouble free service life.
