Description:
It's easy to forget the Boer War considering the major conflicts which followed it. Yet, like any other war, the men of Britain fought and died in it and it's part of our shared heritage.
Here today we have a set of six stereocards chronicaling the war. In turn they include;
"Britain taking up her "burden" in South Africa" - dramatic representation of Britania in real form talking to troops
"Nasawapoort, advance base of French's 3rd Kelly Kenny's troops"
"Responding to the call of a beloved Queen - Arrival of British transport, South Africa" - men disembarking from ship
"Cromje's Chief Commandants after the surrender Feb 27th at Paardeberg, S Africa"
"Rensburg Camp (British) after Flying Collumn returned from within a few miles of enemy"
"New South Wales Corps, picking up one of their comrades" (wounded soldier)
All cards are in excellent condition, three have information on the back in three languages and three do not.
Any questions? Please ask!
