Here we have a fabulous set of 6 Genuine Victorian kitchen/dining chairs..
These really are pretty chairs...look at the pics and see what I mean..the grain in some of the seats are smashing!! Real erratic graining! Lovely..!
Over the years there has been some repairs done to them...but these are to be expected..traditional joint glueing...other than that no signs of "added repairs" as such,like lengthened legs and such...or cut down!
These really are country rustic living chairs..warm and cosey to look at..I love them!
They are hoop backed or "windsor" design..
Made of solid Elm...which is not easy to come across these days..1 of the best quality "olde english" hardwoods that was used to produce lots of furniture...because it lasted and lasted! There are no cracks or splits that we can see,joints are all solid and sturdy..these were made to last and they most certainly would last another 100 years if looked after properly! There are signs on the legs of use,small dings and dents...all adds to the wonderful charm and age!!!
I bet theyve had many a happy meal eaten from them...family gatherings and such.. If only they could talk!

They have just been waxed with good traditional mellow wax which gives them a lovely deep shine and helps bring out the wonderful aged colour they aquired over the years..;)
