Cottage Farm Barn has been converted to provide spacious and attractive accommodation with an open plan living/dining area with vaulted beamed ceiling, spiral staircase leading to a spacious (20') galleried bedroom and a bathroom, plus additional bedroom and bathroom downstairs. The Barn is warm and cozy, being centrally heated and largely clad in pine.

With sheep, cows and calves and other animals on the farm around you, it is a holiday ideally suited to a family, although care is needed with very young children and dogs need to be under control.

Accommodation upstairs

Master Bedroom (20' x 19')
Astounding and attractive open plan galleried landing master bedroom with wooden strip ceiling and flooring, skylight and iron fashioned hand railing. Large double bed and sofa bed (which converts to either a double bed or two single beds), plus stairgate also available. Bathroom off the master bedroom, wooden flooring and pine clad walls, WC, pedestal wash hand basin, bath with power shower over.

Accommodation downstairs

Bedroom 2 (12' x 13')
A spacious double bedroom with two single beds and a sofa bed chest of drawers and a stereo radio/CD player. Newly converted with two windows to the rear enjoying pleasant country views of sheep, cows and calves, exposed ceiling beam, exposed stone features in walls.

Open Plan Dining Room (16' x 9') and Lounge (18' x 11')
Vaulted ceiling leading up to the galleried landing, with a two story high glazed window and a hanging electric fan. An impressive and open light space. exposed beams, exposed stone features in walls. Open plan design to the Lounge partitioned by an attractive brick work bookshelf with a selection of books, videos and board games, and with Freeview television, video & DVD players, mini music/ radio centre.

Kitchen
A good sized fully fitted galley style kitchen with, exposed ceiling beams with inset spot lights. Electric hob with extractor fan, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave. Fitted breakfast bar and a large service hatch through to the dining area. All cooking equipment, china and cutlerry provided.

Conservatory (13' x 9')
South facing, double glazed throughout, sun trap, beautifully warm, attractive red quarry floor tiling, exposed stone work, double French doors to the garden.

Also downstairs: Large newly installed bathroom with large mains pressure shower with folding glass doors, plus a Utility area with washing machine

Cottage Farm is a sustainable organic working farm, set in a secluded location among the wonderful rolling countryside of North Cornwall. You are welcome to wander around the farm and meet our Red Ruby cows and calves, Wiltshire sheep and lambs, our free range chickens, ducks and geese.  Our dog, Mambo, is sure to give you a warm welcome.

Cottage Barn is 3 miles from the coast at Crackington Haven with a lovely little beach and pubs/cafes overlooking the sea.  Surf equipment hire is also available there.  We are also 5 miles from the sandy beach at Widemouth Bay. This famous beach is renowned for good surfing and has lovely rock pools and geological features. The Old Wainhouse Inn pub/restaurant are less than a mile away at Wainhouse Corner, where you can also find a post office, petrol station and general store. Bude, 8 miles distant, provides all services including a sports centre and three supermarkets.

Cottage Farm is situated in rolling countryside with views along a wooded valley. There is a profusion of wild flowers and wildlife in the farm’s woodland and tree-lined banks.  It is a working farm, but also a sustainable self-sufficiency demonstrator project. We grow most of our own vegetables and fruit and we supply virtually all our meat. We are also implementing various renewable energy projects, such as electricity generation using wind turbines and solar panels, plus solar hot water, bore hole and experimenting with permaculture.
