The item being offered is a beautiful copy of Selected Birds of America; Selected Quadrupeds of North America by John James Audubon. The 2 volume set with slipcase was published by Volair Limited, Kent, Ohio,, copyright 1977, a first edition thus. This limited edition is number 1994 of 5000 copies published. There is an introduction by Roger Tory Peterson. Volume I contains 287 pages, and Volume II contains 319 pages, and both volumes contain hundreds of beautiful illustrations. The books are bound in full leather with gilt decorated covers and spines, raised bands on spines, all edges gilt, light pink moire endpapers, and attached ribbon page markers. The books are in fine, as new condition. The pages have hardly even been broken. The slipcase is in near fine condition with little to no wear. This is a wonderful set, and very difficult to find in this condition. I am going to give you the opportunity to buy this set at a low starting bid of $19.99, when you would have to pay over $100.00 at some bookseller sites for a set in this condition.
