Functions: 

1. Power switch.

The power switch is a rocker and lever handle switch, which has two main functions and three positions. Power: ON-OFF  -  (ON), Sensitivity: Normal – OFF – (Low)

2. Audio Alert

When the detection area sweeps through a metal object, the built in speaker gives off audio alerts. When an optional 3.5mm earphone is connected through the earphone jack, the earphone will give off audio alerts instead of through the speaker.

3. Light Alert

When your metal detector finds a metal object, the red Alert lights up on both sides of the body scanner. This function also applies when the optional earphone is in use.

4. Audio Tone Discrimination

On the Scanmaster Hand held body scanner metal detector the pitch of the audio and volume changes with the size of metal object.

5. Reset

Reset is a light press button, press it lightly to recover the normal operation, especially when signal is weak or operating temperature changes rapidly.

6. Earphone

When you are detecting in extremely noisy places or for individual requirements, you can connect an earphone for silent operation.

7. Low battery indication

When the Scanmaster body scanner metal detector gives off audio alerts without detecting any metal and the green ready light stops flashing the battery will require a replacement.

8. Adjusting sensitivity

Insert the tip of a small screwdriver through the SENS ADJ hole. Slowly rotate the SENS control clockwise to increase (or counter clockwise to decrease) the sensitivity, until both audio and visual alarm signal continuously. Then back it off slightly. Move the target back and forth at the required distance above the detector. Make adjustment until it detects the target reliably.

            Note: Do not set sensitivity too high or it will cause false signals.

Maintenance

 

Switch off your Scanmaster body scanner hand held metal detector when not in use. Keep your metal detector clean and dry. Clean it with a damp cloth to maintain its appearance. Do not use chemical cleaners. Remove the battery from the battery compartment when the detector is not in use for long periods.
