Almost every hobby-astronomer knows this problem: Your Deep-Sky observations in city environments fail because of the turbulences in the atmosphere (the "seeing") and the unwanted light from urban light pollution. This is a very unsatisfying experience and takes the fun out of any astronomical observation.

The Seben CLR Filter is the solution you always searched for!

The effect of the Seben CLR Filter is a dramatically-heightened level of contrast and observable detail, while the effects of unwanted city lights are greatly reduced. Deep-Sky-Objects near the limit of observability become readily observable; their fine details are now viewed with ease. Parade objects like the Orion Nebula (M42) will reveal much more detail with the Seben CLR Filter!

A further pleasant effect: The exposure times in astro-photography will be reduced.

The Seben CLR Filter has a wider transmission band than UHC- or O-III-Filter. This makes the Seben CLR Filter suitable for small apertures (>80mm), too! In addition it ensures an achromatic image.
