This sale is for a Sculpting, Moulding and non-Toxic Fibreglass kit for making small to medium sized rigid hollow items that are reinforced with glass fibre fabric from scratch. This kit represents a saving on buying the items separately, and includes:

• Five 1lb / 450g blocks of reusable Regular Klean Klay, 2.25Kg in total
• One set of six double ribbon/loop sculpting tools
• One litre of Liquid Latex
• Modroc Plaster of Paris Bandages, at least 1Kg in weight
• One Jesmonite AC100 4Kg kit, containing 1Kg liquid and 3Kg powder
• One 0.5Kg Jesmonite Thixotrope
• Five metres of Surface Tissue from a 0.5m wide roll
• One metre of Jesmonite Stitched Quadaxial Fabric, from a 1.25m wide roll

Klean Klay is a non-drying, non-hardening, sulphur-free oil based modelling clay for a variety of applications. It is non-toxic, sanitary, and odourless. Klean Klay is easy to handle and work with and remains hand-pliable at room temperature. Klean Klay keeps its smooth, firm consistency and retains the shape into which it is moulded.

Important: Klean Klay is reusable - you can use it time and time again to make different sculpts. 

Klean Klay also comes in SOFT and FIRM. If you want either of these please let us know when you order – otherwise you will get REGULAR. Please note that the colour of the clay may vary (‘Natural’ is pictured), if you have specific colour requirements please check availability with us before ordering.

Sculpting tools are provided as a set of six tools, each is 8” / 20cm long and has a different shaped loop at each end for clay sculpting.

Modroc plaster bandages can be used for 3D modelling, mould support jackets / mother moulds, and more.

Liquid latex is specified to contain 60.5% rubber solids as standard. It is widely used for brushing or dipping, general FX work, movie prop construction, and costuming

Jesmonite AC100 contains no solvents as it is water based, therefore it is non-toxic and non-flammable; it has no nasty fumes like polyester resin. Jesmonite AC100 is a weather resistant product, although it should be sealed for permanent use outdoors, it also has full fire certification for Class 0. Jesmonite AC100 is compatible with both Latex and Silicone moulds – no release agent is required.

• Small quantities can be mixed by hand
• Pot life after mixing 8-15 mins
• Solidifies with 30 mins
• Demould after 1-2 hours
• Achieves full strength after 24-48 hours
• Is a white / light grey colour when set
• Can be painted with water based paints as well as cellulose car paints etc 

Jesmonite Thixotrope is an additive for making a gel coat, which should be added at 2g-6g per Kg of mixed resin (you will need hardly any).

Surface Tissue is a lightweight glass fibre fabric for the initial reinforcement layers. This fabric weighs just 30 grams per square metre and easily conforms to detailed surfaces.

Sitched Quadaxial Mat is a heavier glass fibre fabric with an open weave to allow easy wetting through with resin. This fabric weighs around 160 grams per square metre.
