This is a miniature scandinavian style dog collar padlock that could be a hundred years or older.This lock has no name but has it's original key and works like a charm.That is just about the size of this lock as it is so small,it looks like a charm.This brass beauty has darkened with time and is 5/8 in.across at the bottom and 1 inch tall.There are still small spots on the lock where the original lacquer was put on in the factory.The condition is near mint and there isn't a mark on this lock.This style of padlock dates  all the way back to Civil War times and before but without a name on it,it's hard to say.One thing you can say is that these are rare and with the original key even more so.That coin in the picture is a dime,but looks as big as a quarter against this tiny tool.The tiny key is special to because it is non magnetic so it isn't steel,but something more expensive that won't rust.
