This is a Sampson Mordan & co silver hatching chick pincushion.

3.5 x 3.5 cm.

Original purple velvet which as you can see, is very worn.

Hallmarks for Chester 1908, registration no.,makers mark is rubbed.

I am not sure but I think there may be a slight bend to the silver at the edge of the back of the head,

I am not sure if it is a slight bend or it could just be the shape of the feathers..

if it is a ding it is only slight.

So please look closely at the photos.
