SAM GILLIAM (American, b. 1933). Well known African American artist from Washington DC. This poster was created for the exhibition "EXTENSIONS" held at the Edna Carlsten Gallery at the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point. (This exhibit was also held at Miami Dade Public Library and Middendorf/Lane Gallery). The poster has stitched serigraphed paper stitched to a printed poster sheet with specific UWSP information. Condition excellent with metal frame and lucite "glass". Dimensions: 30.5 in. X 30.5 in. framed. PROVENANCE: University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Permanent collection #51154, Gift of the Edna Carlsten Gallery, FEB 1980
