Folds down whilst installed too, for driving with the roof up at night for instance. In this picture there is a leaf that had dropped onto the wind deflector and it is not a defect or tear in the material.

You will need to purchase a fitting kit from Saab to enable the sides to be inserted into the interior rear panel near the rear interior lights. This is how it is secured in the car and they don't cost too much at all. Your car may already have it installed, have a look, they are a little plastic hole installed on the rear interior side panels, one on each side of the car.
