As part of our extensive workshop facilities we also offer air conditioning system re-gas's*

As not to break ebay policy what you are paying for here is the gas used

We use R134A gas which is a direct replacement for the now illegal R12 gas.

A vehicle air conditioning system working correctly makes for a safer  more comfortable driving experience - not only on hot summer days but it also allows for faster de-misting of the windscreen in winter months.

Not so well known is that the air conditioning system in your vehicle is not a fit and forget item. When new your system will work as well as the manufacturer intended, but given time the system can gradually deteriorate to an unacceptable level which can lead to bacteria build up which can caus odors as well as failing parts which can become very costly to replace.

Most problems occur when the refrigerant leaks out and the pressure drops below a pre set level, Loss of cooling efficiency may be noticed as the refrigerant level drops. If the system requires topping up at frequent intervals a leak should be traced and repaired. The most common location of leaks is the condenser due constant heat/pressure changes. If a leak is suspected then we install a special UV dye that runs round the system and after it has all come out we can find where it has come from and see what part has failed.

*The price above is for the basic air conditioning re-gas and does not include any parts that could be required if the system is found to be leaking.

We will carry out air conditioning re-gas's on most other makes of car, not just Saab - please ask for details
