START THE PEPPER SEEDS INDOORS IN ROUGHLY JANUARY/ FEBRUARY ( CA 8-6 WEEKS BEFORE YOU EXPECT THE LAST FROST). PLACE THE SEEDS IN A SEED TRAY CA 2.5 CM APART. COVER THE THE TRAY WITH SOME CLEAR PLASTIC TO RETAIN THE MOISTURE UNTIL GERMINATION IS COMPLETE. KEEP THE TRAY IN A WARM SPOT

WHEN THE SEEDLINGS ARE CA 5.0 - 7.5 CM ( CA 2-3 IN) TALL PLACE THEM IN A LARGER TRAY OR

INDIVIDUAL POTS. PEPPERS ARE AN IDEAL GREENHOUSE OR POLYTUNNEL CROP. BUT AFTER DANGER OF FROST HAS PASSED THE PLANTS CAN BE TRANSFERRED OUTSIDE TOO.

PEPPER PLANTS TEND TO PRODUCE MORE FRUITS IF THE FRUITS ARE BEING PICKED JUST BEFORE RIPENING. ALSO CUT THE FRUIT OF RATHER THEN PULLING  TO AVOID DAMAGE TO THE PLANT
