Nostalgic Football Album FULL of pictures of SWANSEA TOWN Football Club from 1948 to 1963 (Also includes a Swansea team print for season 1924-25 when the club were Division 3 South Champions) .
There are 35 photo-reprints in total in this Album and is a great opportunity to own a real piece of footballing history and nostalga.( The prints are all contained loosely within individual plastic wallets in the Album, and can easily be removed for other purposes if so desired).
This not-to-be-missed Album includes individual photos and action shots ranging from 1950-1960 and SIXTEEN Team prints from the following years :- 1924-25 (Division 3 South Champions), 1948, 1948-49 (Division 3 South Champions), 1949-50 (Colour), 1951-52, 1952-53, 1953-54, 1956-57, 1957-58, 1958-59, 1959-60, 1960-61, 1962-63, 1967-68 (Colour), 1971-72 (Colour), and 1972-73, including all the SWANSEA stars of these periods.
Individual photo-prints include :- Alf Bellis, John King, Billy Lucas, Manager from 1947-1955 Billy McCandless, Frank Scrine with printed signature, Terry Medwin with printed signature, Ron Burgess, Cliff Jones with printed signature, Mel Charles (Colour), Len Allchurch (Colour), Colin Webster, and Mel Nurse.
Action prints include :- 1) Frank Burns v QPR in 1950. 2) Ivor Allchurch v Blackburn Rovers in February 1957. 3) Mel Charles & John King v Sunderland in 1958. 4) Mel Nurse and John King v Aston Villa at Villa Park in 1959. 5) Mel Charles challenging Fulham's Roy Bentley for the ball in 1959. 6) John King making a fine save from Sheffield Wednesday's Alan Finney in 1959. 7) Noel Dwyer and Mel Nurse in action during the 0-0 draw v Brighton in 1960 (Colour).
This really is a wonderful chance to explore these golden periods of SWANSEA Football Club and is a must for an avid fan or follower of classic footballing history. The Album would also make a nice gift.
