SWANAGE - Gem of the Dorset Coast - Official Town Guide - 1964

This guide consists of 88 pages of local information, some local history and local business adverts (hotels, beach cabins, British Railways etc). Lovely colour and b/w seaside & beach photos (inc Punch & Judy!) and local attractions. Very nice informative guide.

Published by Swanage Urban District Council. Date 1964 ascertained from a reference in the text to sunshine records up to 1963. Probably originally supplied with a loose map but this is not present now; there are no glue marks to indicate one had been attached.

Stiff card covered booklet, 88 pages plus cover, size approx 12cm x 17.5cm. Overall good condition, clean, contents good, corners good, staples spine tight. Very minor shelf wear on edge of spine. A few pages have had their top corner folded, now unfolded. Very nice.

An excellent item for the local historian, family history researcher and collector.
