  • A good quality vintage English Art Deco period c1920-30s oak cased mantle clock by the ENFIELD CLOCK Co ( LONDON ). The clock stands 7.75 in high (197 mm) on four thin square feet at each corner with a length of 12.25 in (311 mm) and depth of 6 in (152 mm). The design has been greatly influenced by Egyptian discoveries at the time with angular sloping sides and sunburst patterns ( shaped much like an Egyptian head dress). It has been serviced and cleaned and has a quiet tick with great sounding chime. It is in overall excellent condition with no damage and with just a small circular patch of wear to the silvering under number 11. A stylish looking, reliable robust clock which looks particularly good in a period setting.
