SUPERB HEAVY 3 PIECE Deco Elkington SILVER TEASET 980g

WHAT A LOVELY HIGH QUALITY ART DECO TEASET!

Here we have a quite splendid solid silver 3 piece Birmingham made tea service of delightful form.

A most beautiful set,these pieces are assayed in 1922/5/6-year letters X,A and B.  

All are made by top quality makers Elkington & Co. 

Hallmarks are deep and clear on each piece of this fabulous heavy gauge set.

Actual combined silver weight is a very good 980 grams (31.51 troy ounces).

For reference teapot is 6 inches in height and 11 inches in diameter,it is thus of very good size.

It is clearly a result of the highest quality workmanship.

A stunning pot,its weight is 602 grams.

Handle and finial are crucially firm and secure.

Sugar bowl is 4.625 inches in height and 7 inches in diameter.Weight is 218 grams.

Cream jug is 4.25 inches in height and 6 inches in diameter.Weight is 160 grams.

Their condition is excellent.Clearly they have been very well looked after and only used on special occasions. 

All pieces are unengraved and always have been,absolutely no erasures whatsoever.

ALL IN ALL A QUITE LOVELY VERY HEAVY TEASET OF THE HIGHEST ORDER.

I love the unusual feet and the thread rim to each piece. 

Would cost an obscene amount in a good retail outlet-if you could find one quite so nice...
