SUPERB ANTIQUE PIPE WITH ORIGINAL STERLING SILVER CASE
A wonderful antique briar pipe; in its original superb quality fitted solid sterling silver case with hinged lid.
Wow - very unusual, in lovely original condition, fabulously collectable!
CONDITION: All original and very good. Slightest signs of wear commensurate with age and use, no damage. Pipe is unsmoked. Old repair to hinge.
DEFECTS: None.
DATE/MARKS: Turn of the century. Pipe marked 'Newman'. Case hallmarked Chester 1902. Maker's marks just illegible.
DIMENSIONS: Case 5 inches long, pipe 4 ½ inches long (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
WEIGHT: Approx. 50.2 grams in total.
