SUPERB 1944 Silver Bowl 572g TOOBY STOURBRIDGE CHURCH

WHAT A GREAT GEORGE VI BOWL. 

On offer today is a quite sensational and highly rare fully hallmarked solid silver fruit bowl of excellent weight and gauge. 

This lovely bowl is assayed in Sheffield,1944-year letter B.

The marks are deep and clear and are to side.

Maker's mark for R&B-Roberts & Belk. 

The weight is a staggering 513 grams (16.50 troy ounces). 

The diameter is very large at 9.25 inches and the height 2.25 inches. 

The condition is terrific. 

It is engraved with a most fascinating contemporary presentation inscription relating to HIGH STREET CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH STOURBRIDGE and always has been,definitely no erasures either!

This church is very much in existence today and I hope it will be on its way back home shortly!!  

This is a real eye catching piece of silver in its own right and a great centrepiece to grace any home.

The wavy rim foot is most unusual and pleasing on the eye.

Would make a really nice and highly unusual present perhaps?
