SUPERB 1936 VERY HEAVY 4 PIECE SILVER TEASET 1665g!!

WHAT A LOVELY HIGH QUALITY TEASET!

Here we have a quite splendid solid silver 4 piece Sheffield made tea service of striking form.

A most beautiful set,each piece is assayed in 1936-year letters s and t.  

All are made by JR&WL. 

Hallmarks are deep and clear and to side.

Each piece also bears a retailer's stamp for LAING GLASGOW to base.

Actual combined silver weight is a very good 1665 grams (53.54 troy ounces).

For reference teapot is 6 inches in height and 10.75 inches in diameter,it is thus of very good size.

It is clearly a result of the highest quality workmanship.

A stunning pot,its weight is 648 grams.

Hot water/coffee pot is 8.75 inches in height and 7.75 inches in diameter.It weighs a substantial 687 grams. 

Handles and finials to both are crucially firm and secure.

Sugar bowl is 2.5 inches in height and 5 inches in diameter.Weight is 180 grams.

Cream jug is 3 inches in height and 5.75 inches in diameter.Weight is 150 grams.

Their condition is quite sensational.Clearly they have been very well looked after and only used on special occasions..

All pieces are unengraved and always have been,absolutely no erasures whatsoever.

Each piece has a lovely flared rim and sits on three feet,they are each of a ball and claw design and most eye catching to say the least! 

ALL IN ALL A QUITE LOVELY VERY HEAVY TEASET OF THE HIGHEST ORDER.
