This is an auction for a heavy quality solid sterling silver goblet with a lightly gilded (gold washed) interior.
It has clear feature hallmarks which are;
The lion passant to guarantee the sterling silver standard
The City mark for Birmingham.
The date letter "Z" to show that it was assayed in the year 1974.
A maker's mark of A.T.C for the renowned A T Cannon Limited.
Condition - Good, a slight bruise to the lower edge of the foot and a couple of teeny weeny little dints in the bottom of the bowl. There are no inscriptions and no erasures.
Weight - 62 grams (virtually two Troy ounces).
Dimensions - 4.5 inches high and 2.8 inches diameter at the rim. The foot is 2.6 inches in diameter.
