This superb spoon is in a 'Suites or Playing Card' design, it is 7 1/2 inches in length and weighs in at 43 gms.

An elegantly designed new Absinthe spoon, made in France and stamped on the back of the handle by the maker.

Chrome plated on brass

Used in the ritual of Absinthe drinking, where the spoon was balanced across the rim of a glass, and sugar placed on the slotted bowl of the spoon. Iced water was allowed to drip onto the sugar, and into the glass containing a measure of Absinthe. When the drink turns an opalescent shade, it is ready to drink.
