Proteam 350W Submersible Electric Garden Water Butt Pump for Dirty Water with Float Switch - GA1030
Take the hard work out of clearing your garden water butt with this durable dirty water butt pump from Proteam.
Its powerful 350 watt motor pumps up to 2,400 litres of water per hour, and can handle particles up to 5mm (0.2") diameter.
How do I use it? Assemble the pipe extensions and place the pump upright in the bottom of your garden water butt. When switched on, the pump will pull in water from the base and pump it out through the hose outlet.
The outlet has a standard hose connector with on/off tap. Simply snap on your garden hose!
Will it switch itself off when the water is gone? Yes - this pump is fitted with a float switch. This device detects when the water level is too low, and switches the pump off. When the water level increases, the float switch automatically turns the pump back on again (unless you choose not to by disconnecting it from the mains).
How far beneath the surface will it operate? It can be submerged up to 8m under water (max pump head), and has approx. 10m of mains cable.
Does the water have to be clean? No, this pump will work quite happily with bits of dirt in the water up to 5mm (0.2") diameter.
Ensure that no part of the mains plug (apart from the pump itself and the mains cord) is anywhere near the water.
Will it fit my water butt? The answer is probably yes. Most water butts are about 90cm (3 feet) tall. This pump is 1.37m (4ft 6") tall when assembled - so it can be placed at the bottom of the water butt with enough height for the outlet to extend out of the top.
