This is a superb vintage mahogany lamp base standing just over 14" tall to the top of the bayonet fitting - it is excellent quality and dates to around 1920/30's. The colour of the wood is beautiful and it is very stylish with an elegant shape stem going down to a hexagon shaped base. The base measures 5 1/2" across and is weighted to stop it from toppling over. It is in excellent condition for its age but would need to be rewired for todays standards - this can easily be done by your local electrical shop.
