This auction is for THE BROCHURE of our holiday home. Details of what the brochure contains are as follows:
The wording in the brochure is this:
We
are offering our newly renovated French Holiday farmhouse for rental for any
time of the year. The house is situated in the South West of France,
about 35 minutes south from Royan. It is postal region 17800 if you
want to google earth it. Its in the Charente Maritime, Region 17, and
is about 20 minutes drive to the nearest Beach at Saint George De
Didonne. Set amongst the most beautiful countryside in a tiny little
village, which is right in the heart of wine and pineau making country,
and is completely surrounded by sunflowers, grape vines, tobacco and maize
fields as far as the eye can see. There are about 30 houses in the
village, mostly occupied and lived in full time by french people, but
there are about 3 english families in the village or near outskirts. It is
very close to the Ancient Medieval town of Pons which was on the pilgrim
route in ancient times. Only 5 miles away. It is about 45 minutes north of Bordeaux, and
about 35 minutes south of Royan. Its also very close to Cognac for
those who like their brandy tours being only a 35 minute drive away. Martell and Hennesy distilleries
being about 35 minutes drive away inland. The property has four
good bedrooms. One large master bedroom with King size bed, One bedroom with Double bed, and two bedroom, each
with 2 twin beds , so the property can comfortably sleep 8 people with ease.
It currently has one bathroom, toilet, sink, and bath with excellent power shower over, newly fitted,
and the second bathroom/shower room is currently being designed/fitted
and will be completed by November. On the ground floor, there is a very
large barn which is used purely for storage. Accommodation on the
ground floor comprises: Very large Living Room with 42" plasma tv.
DVD/Sky tv so you can watch all your programs in english as well as
french. Huge games room with full size pool table, table football
table, and 32" plasma tv with PS2 including lots of games. Games
station with the usual round of games such as drafts, snakes N ladders,
backgammon etc. Large array of neon signs to complete the room. Kitchen/Dining room, open plan, with full range of
units, Washer, Oven, Ceramic Halogen Hob, Dishwasher, Fridge,
Freezer, microwave, toasted sandwich maker etc. And upstairs the four bedrooms, and two house bathrooms, one with full bath with shower over, and the second with brand new shower toilet and sink.
Large enclosed
front south facing garden so the house gets the sun all day from
sunrise to sunset. Very private garden with 8 foot high wall all the
way around and double gates out onto the main village street. It is a
very quiet little village and the nearest town is Pons, where there is
a miriad of supermarkets and restaurants and bars, so plenty to do in
the evening if you only fancy a 5 minute drive. For a much larger
selection of evening entertainment you are close enough to various
other towns, i.e. Saintes, Royan, Saint Palais Sur Mer, Mortagne Sur
Gironde, La Rochelle, Royan, etc. to travel a little further for a wider selection of
restaurants if dining out is your thing. Although there is a large BBQ
in the front garden and we tend to eat out there most evenings as its
usually very warm well into late at night. We have been sat out there
at 1 in the morning before, its been so warm with no need to go inside.
We have a much more detailed holiday brochure of the house if anybody
would like me to e mail it to them for further details and further
photographs. We are going through the process of trying to organise planning for an above ground 6 metre pool fitted next spring, in March 2010 so for next year there will, hopefully if all goes to plan, be a pool in the front garden of the property too.
All weeks, this year are now fully booked, but many next year are still free with the exception of those bracketed above.
The price of the property for rental are listed below, starting and ending on any
day of your choice. Please contact me for the rental of the property. This auction is for the brochure only. You can choose your week based on the price list
below, drop me a line first where I can direct you to our external website to ensure that week is free, and we can see
what we can work out from there. But you must contact me by e mail

PLEASE NOTE: THIS LISTING IS FOR THE BROCHURE ONLY. All prices concerning the property and its rental are detailed within that brochure or you can find them on the website above. I can send a copy by e mail if you contact me by asking a question on here, i.e. contact seller.

The prices for the rental of the house within THAT BROCHURE are for one week during:
20th Jan 2010- 30th March 2010 - £400 per week
1st April - 30th April 2010 - £500 per week
1st May - 30th June 2010 - £600 per week
1st July - 12th September 2010 - £850 per week - (Booked from 18th July to 10th August 2010) and
- (Booked from Wed 11th August to Fri 20th Aug 2010)
13th September - 12th October 2010 - £600 per week
13th October - 18th December 2010 £300 per week
19th December2010 - 6th Jan 2011 - £500 per week.
All other prices thereafter to follow.
The house is free from any day to any day starting and ending on any day of your choice. We are very flexible on the rental period and so just contact me to ask any questions first about the brochure.
We
insist on a £150 deposit per week, to secure any bookings we make from our private website, at the time of your booking, with the balance paid 8 weeks before your rental
period commences. Please e mail us to check the week that you want is
free prior to bidding. We also cannot refund any deposit paid on your
holiday if you change your mind. If we have turned away other
potential bookings for you and you cannot them complete the
transaction/holiday, then sadly I am very sorry but this is a business,
and unfortunately we cannot refund the £150 per week deposit. We also
request a £300 damage retainer, which is fully refunded as soon as the
cleaner has been in after your visit and confirmed that everything is
as was before your arrival. If you break
anything then you can either simply replace or we will retain a portion
of the true cost of the damage to replace whatever is broken. We are
not fussy. If plates or glasses get broken then obviously they are
cheap enough for us to replace and we wouldnt expect to retain any
monies from the damage retainer, we would still refund you the whole
retainer. Its purely if anything of great value gets broken that we
have to cover ourselves for the replacement in value of any large item,
such as tv. etc. Its the larger items we are concerned about, not the
smaller ones.
We have english neighbours in the village who
take care of the house, for us, and who can clean and change linen etc.
before your arrival and after you have left, so the house will be fully
prepared and ready for your arrival on the day you get there. No
making up beds etc. to attend to. All that will be done for you.
Everything is provided, bed linen, towels, etc. etc. The price of the
auction is purely for one week as per price lists above. Rental prices
are listed as above per week. If you wish to go ahead with rental I can
send a paypal invoice to you for the required week or any other payment
method you prefer.

Its a luxury property having been furnished to the very highest of standards and thus Im sure you would not be disappointed if you wanted to buy the brochure and rent the house..
