PLEASE NOTE.We have been away for the last few months in the USA and having now returned with renewed energy but sadly much depleted pockets ! PLEASE NOTE All our goods are antique or vintage and not new reproductions. When we mark something C1890 for instance this means "CIRCA" or "about" 1890 which is the date of manufacture in our opinion.
DELIVERY& PAYMENT For most items to England and Wales will be between £65 and £90. Scotland, Europe and all other destinations please ask for an individual quote.( Inner London please add £10 charge and admin) Please include the delivery charge with your total when making your payment. We ask for full payment within five days of contact being established between us .
All items will be with our INDEPENDANT CARRIER in Bicester Oxfordshire for delivery within 28 days of payment being cleared except under circumstances beyond our control. You can pick up your item or arrange your own carrier by agreement with our carrier . There is a small collection fee payable to our carrier of £15 .Please send details of your postal code and nearest town for a firm delivery quote. In the unlikely event of any damage in transit , we cannot be held responsible as the goods are out of our care and control. We will of course help you in any way we can in your claim. Our carriers are totally independent from our organisation. MULTIPLE PURCHASES For England and Wales the largest piece is charged at the full price and all others at £53 per item. For all other destinations please ask for a quote. DESCRIPTIONS We endeavour to be accurate in our descriptions however we obviously cannot detail everything in the space available we will always say if there is any substantial restoration or damage . Sizes are always in inches to the highest and widest points. We will also note woodworm if in our opinion it has affected the structure of the item. Please do not hesitate to email with any questions you may have. Please also remember that antique and vintage furniture will show wear including small dinks and bumps and often some old worm holes which are part of the charm and character of the piece and convey a sense of age and permanence in our “throw away society” (Many modern copies have imitation worm holes put in furniture to mirror the antique!) All out furniture comes directly from private homes ,we do not restore, clean or polish in any way other than treat in case of woodworm. This is part of the reason why we are in most cases able to sell without or with low reserves. Antique and Vintage furniture also represents a good investment unlike modern factory built furniture which loses most of its value within a year or two. Antique and Vintage furniture will most often hold its value and increase over the years which enables the buyer to change their décor whenever they want or move home without the normal enormous losses involved in selling second hand furniture or indeed buy and sell just to make a profit !
