STREET & DAY, SALTGLAZE INK / BLACKING POT***MINT****
|
HI, here i have a STREET & DAY saltglaze pot, dug on a tip that dates circa 1880-90 victorian dump it is in what i consider to be MINT CONDITION...look at my other listings, i do not use this word lightly. there are no chips or cracks or bites and has only been washed in soap and water. it has been buried for over 120 years !!!
these pots, when listed, are often called inks, i belive it maybe a blacking pot, as street & day did manufacture the famous 'Brunswick Black' which was an upmarket blacking for indoor ironware etc...eg, stoves/ranges,hearths etc so i am listing it as both.
it measures approx....4" 3/4 tall and has a base of 2" 3/4 with an opening internal of 3/4" i will gladly ship this FANTASTIC pot anywhere in the world....just send me a location and how you would like it shipped and i will get you an accurate price asap. it is nearly as heavy as a standard ginger beer bottle.
HAPPY BIDDING ;)
