Hardcover 8vo  8" - 9" tall. [10] xl [160] 16 pp Quarter japon vellum over boards with titles on spine, spine ends bumped and joints just starting from top edge, engraved frontis and title page, 8pp of printed text with subsequent pages printed from engraved plates and containing various lists, tables and instructions for Weston's system of shorthand. The second part of this work is an English/Short-hand dictionary, again printed from engraved plates and with an engraved frontis. The third part is entitled "Observations and Explications Proper for Better Understanding the Letters of the Alphabet...." with an engraved frontis and title page and printed from type thereafter. The contents are clean and bright with just an occassional mark and a little light finger soiling in to the margins - someone once made use of this book.
