At the famous Teddy bear Parade 2005 in Giengen, on the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Steiff Company, the artist, Peter Lorenz, sent his three wonderfully "bearish", new creations on the road and into the hearts of all Steiff fans and bear lovers alike: the "Leopard" "Zebra" and "Tiger" Teddy bears. These were originally made of glass fibre reinforced plastic in a truly "bear-like" size of 120 centimetres. In 2008, Steiff sent the first furry member of this bear series out into the world with the "Leopard" Teddy bear. Now, the 40- centimetre tall Zebra Teddy bear made of high-quality alpaca made with "life-like" zebra-striped pattern is following in its footsteps. With its expressive facial features, Zebra Teddy bear looks curiously into the future and calls out with its strong growling voice to its "wild" colleague, the soon to be made Tiger Teddy bear, the final bear in the artist's trio. The Steiff Zebra Teddy bear is a Limited Edition of 2,009 pieces world wide and bears the gold-plated "Button in the Ear" as a symbol of its origin. .
