On 01-Nov-09 at 22:34:08 GMT, seller added the following information:

Charming Staffordshire sponged creamware tea caddy c.1780.Creamware body with allover sponged blue decoration.Elongated dome lid.Condition is fairly good considering likely age.Four small chips to the footrim.Almost impossible to see unless caddy upended. Two hairlines -1.5 and 4 cms - running down from rim.Mainly visible on the inside.Lid with smudged sponging and several burst glaze bubbles. There is an indentation on the rim of the lid which looks like a chip at a glance but is evenly shaped and covered in glaze. Not sure if it has a purpose.Overall an attractive piece with genuine age that displays well.Height 4 3/4 inches 12 cms.
