SRP USA Alu Mounting Bolt For Shimano Derailleurs GREEN

This is an exact replacement for the mounting bolt for all Shimano rear derailleurs that do not come with a mounting plate. This bolt is made in 2 models one is for all mode is made before 1994 and includes but is not limited to; RX100, 105SC, Ultegra, Dura-Ace, pre '94 Deore LX - both cages, Deore DX - both cages, pre '94 Deore XT - both cages, and XTR. The other is for the 1994 M737 XT, the M563 LX models and the STX models made as Hyper-C units for the 1994 model year. This bolt is intended to shear or break-away in a strong impact to minimize damage to the frame. The replacement bolt is machined from aluminum rod and even drilled through to reduce weight. It has the same 5mm allen that the stock Shimano bolt comes with, so your tools don't have to change. The added deep notch that is cut at the center of this bolt actually exists on the Shimano one for an O-ring that helps seal contaminants out of the mounting mechanism. The O-ring on the Shimano bolt was able to be removed and re-installed on the aluminum replacement. The stock Shimano bolt is made of cast and machined steel that is then chrome plated, and weighs 18 grams. This aluminum replacement weighs just 5 grams. It's color anodized so others will recognize the subtle upgrade you've performed. The installation process for this bolt is the same as the one above, required only the same screwdriver and bare hands, in about 40 seconds, (admittedly it took about 90 seconds on short cage rears, in our case the Dura-Ace model because the cage itself interferes).
